Princess or Butterfly???

And the world of dress up as begun. Nealy wore this little outfit ALL DAY. She took her nap in it, she wore it while she ate (which was REALLY funny with a big t-shirt over it as a bib!), and she would tell anyone and everyone that she was a princess butterfly. I don't think you can tell from the pictures, but it had wings. She even would jump off furniture trying to fly... who needs any other source of entertainment when you have a two year old???

A Nature Walk....sort of

It's been a bit on the chilly side lately, but Bug really wanted to go outside. We bundled up and took a walk in the woods and found some very pretty leaves. Aidan was along for the ride, but wrapped tightly around his momma!

Aidan is Three Months!

Our big boy is three months old! Yeah Aidan! Aidan is tipping the scales at over 15 pounds! He rolls, smiles, and giggles his way into our hearts. His little personality is really starting to show. He is our big boy!

Fun with Leaves

We spent Thanksgiving day at Wes' grandparents in VA. The weather was beautiful, and Nealy and Aunt Susie had some much needed fun in the leaves!

Grammie, Gramps, and Lala

Grammie, Gramps, and Lala stopped to spend some time with us after the wedding, and before they ventured to the Egan's for Thanksgiving. It's fun to see how the kids (okay, really Nealy), acts on her own turf. She loves having visitors, and getting lots of cuddles!

Caroline and Nealy joining the big girls dancing!

I realize she has a lot of energy, but didn't imagine it could last so long! Nealy danced. She danced with Caroline in their matching dresses, she danced with Drew...she danced with anyone that would dance with her. The kids were SO CUTE. It hurt to watch them. They all were so good and so active.

Wedding Bells

We took the family and traveled to see Uncle Joe get married. Nealy took a little nap on Wes during the ceremony, not quite long enough, but it gave her enough energy to last well into the reception. Aidan slept as well. He was such a good boy! Nealy had a blast with her cousins, especially Caroline. Those two are two peas in a pod! Congrats Joe and Katie!

Rainy days

It would figure. The weather goes from too hot, to too cold, and now it's raining and drizzly for days. We've had lots of fun staying at home! Nealy loves to paint pictures (especially for Daddy), and has finally figured out how to peddle her bike! Yeah Nealy!!! Aidan has been watching his sister very carefully too!

A sleepy girl...

Nealy didn't get her typical nap. We tried to keep her awake until close to seven so she would sleep all night. She couldn't quite do it. She was fast asleep by 5:45, only to awaken two hours later and want dinner. It all could have been a lot worse, and I do believe Wes loved holding his babies!

Pictures of the Boy

Aidan is now 2 1/2 months old. His little personality is really starting to come out. He loves his mobile, snoopy, his sister (from a distance), and he loves it when you sing with him. He has such a big smile. Unfortunately, he is quite leery of the camera, and as soon as you try to get a picture his smile quickly turns. Nevertheless, and despite his recent balding, I think he is beautiful. Especially when he sleeps on his own!

Braids!

Everyone needs a change at some point. Nealy needed a change in her hair style. We tried braids, thinking they would fall out of her fine hair. To our surprise, they stayed in, and looked really cute! At least it gives us more options in the morning! She was very proud of them! They did look a lot better yesterday, this morning she didn't want me to touch them!

First Loves

Most know by now that Nealy loves her snoopy. In fact, she loves BOTH of her Snoopys. She is now making sure that Aidan loves his snoopy too.

Oliver Twist

Aidan was not happy at first...then he fell asleep like a good little pepper!

Yes, I said Oliver Twist. I was reminded of him yesterday over and over again. We took Nealy and Aidan (who was just along for the ride), trick-or-treating last night. Nealy was so good. She loved all the houses, jack-o-lanterns, and most importantly, the candy. She was very polite, answering questions and always saying thank you; however many houses were met with her "have some more", or "I need to get some more for my bucket". And they couldn't say no. Which brings me to my gripe for the day... No two year old needs a bucket of candy, Wes and I were fully aware of this, and had talked about how the candy would be distributed once Nealy was in bed. She got a good amount, and I was SO disappointed in the contents. There was not one tootsie roll, no skittles, no caramels, no smarties. In fact, there were only 7 pieces of non-chocolate candy. Wes was in heaven, Nealy and I were not. I will be going to buy her candy later today, it will all be on sale anyway, and she deserves it (and so do I)!
