I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas! What a fun Christmas morning we had! The kids were thrilled with their gifts, and what fun it was to watch.

Christmas Eve

Aidan decided he wanted to feed himself...he's so big.

We had a busy Christmas Eve! After running last minute errands before the threat of bad weather arrived, we got busy at home. We decorated cookies, wrapped some presents, had a nice dinner and went to mass. The kids were in rare form. Nealy left a plate of cookies and a sip (soda) for Santa, with a cute little note reminding Santa not to eat on the carpet. She cracks me up! The kids then got into their new Christmas jammies and headed to bed!

Nealy has really enjoyed all her Christmas projects. We did more than what has been posted, but this gives the general idea. It kept her busy, and she sure is becoming more crafty!

Visiting Santa

Poor Aidan...
Talking to Santa...this was as close as Aidan would get!
Santa had just told her that she was on the "nice" list...looks like she will get her baby doll!

Waiting in line at the Santa house
standing by the house, you can see through the window and see Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Last night we ventured downtown to see Santa at the Santa House. It was cold, and the line was outside. Thankfully we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes, and the kids were bundled up quite well. Wes and I were a bit chilly though! Nealy went right on in, and after an initial shy period, she opened up and sat on Santa's lap. She asked for a baby doll and a best animal (stuffed animal to the rest of us!), Santa said he could manage those (thankfully those two things have been taken care of!). She then informed Santa that she would leave him cookies and would leave water for the reindeer. Aidan was not thrilled, he only liked Santa from Momma's arms! Oh there is always next year for him!

First Snow Day

Coming inside after snow blowing. He was a walking snowman!

Boy did we get snow! Wes had his first snow day on Friday. I think we got about a foot of snow by the time it ended. Wes got to practice his snow blowing abilities on what seemed like an endless amount of snow. The kids were going from window to window watching him. Later in the day we walked the kids down to Duncan's Woods to sled. Aidan fell asleep in the sled on the way there, but Nealy had a great time going down the hill. She even went down by herself a couple of times!

A Christmas Preview

I got the kids all dressed up today to try and get a good Christmas shot. 57 shots later, this was the best of them. Aidan was not in the mood...he has a runny nose and did not want to participate. Nealy was having a blast! Hopefully I'll be able to get a good one later.

Gymnastics

Showing off her certificates

Nealy had her last gymnastics class as a leapin` lizard. She has passed the level three class and will be moving on to level four, Krazy Kangaroos! Good job Bug!

Tub Time

The kids rarely get to take tubs these days. Showers just seem so much easier, faster, and well, cleaner too. They were both thrilled to have some tub time!

The Box

Who would have thought that a pampers box could be the source of so much entertainment? Who needs toys. Aidan prefers boxes.

Christmas Tree

On Monday we went out determined to find a suitable Christmas tree. It took some looking, but we finally found one! It may be a few feet too short, but it looks good nonetheless. The kids were so cute about it, and were plenty tired after all the adventures!
