The Hair Incident

Anyone who saw my reaction to my husband's hair when his was cut this short can only imagine my reaction to this!
He got upset when I asked him to look in the mirror and tell me if he liked his haircut.
He really wasn't sure what to do, Mommy was very upset!
The damage
It's just hair, it will grow back. This I know to be true, and yet I still find myself mourning the loss of his beautiful locks. Darn you Nealy! I seriously don't know what got into her, the story keeps changing, "He told me to", "I wasn't thinking", "Are you really going to cancel my birthday?". Well, knowing how much I love my kids' birthdays, I can't "cancel" it, but I sure can make her think I will! She said to me tonight as I kissed her goodnight, "Mom, isn't it just time to get over it and move on?". Yes, I suppose that is true, but then I look at that boy and cringe...maybe tomorrow Nealy, maybe tomorrow.

A New Bed, and other randoms

Nealy being a goof
Bubba showing off his Mohawk
Maeve's attempt at a mohawk, and showing off her only teeth.
Bubba's new bed!
Best friends and worst enemies

All three together...how cute!
I love that smile!
Mae-Mae, you are #1
It's a good thing Maeve loves summer, it STILL in the 90's! Come on Fall!
Maeve's first ponytail!
It's been a busy week. Finding time to sit down and upload pictures just hasn't been had. I apologize. The kids are doing great, they are learning new things every day, and doing so enthusiastically! Bubba is thrilled with his new bed! Maeve is a bundle of cute energy! Nealy amazes me with all she has learned.

A Mid September Update!

Aidan has decided that his toddler bed is "not his size", and falls asleep in the hallway. We haven't found a twin for him yet, but it's on my list!
Maeve prefers to sleep sitting up.
Getting ready for school!
Maeve loved the pool!
Once he got the courage to try, we couldn't keep Aidan off the slides!
This is one of the play pools, Aidan preferred this one to the other. Nealy liked the deeper pool better!
My little ham
Blowing raspberries...she was happy!
It's hard to believe (mostly due to the fact that it's still in the 90's around here) that summer is over. The kids enjoyed our afternoons at the pool, but sadly the pool is now closed for the season. Now what? It's still too hot to play outdoors, and the kids are becoming restless! We have started our home school year, we went to our first co-op day on Monday! Nealy was THRILLED to be at "school", and took it all in stride. She has willingly (for the most part) completed her assigned tasks at home this week as well. She is very serious about her school work! Bubba had a great day as well, and proclaimed on the way home that he didn't even miss me one bit. Thanks Bub.
