Hats

We love hats. Aidan ADORES hats. He will wear his Tiger's hat all day, and he is so cute about it! Nealy "borrowed" a hat so not to be left out. Her pink Tiger's hat is a bit small this year.

Daddy's Birthday!

Of course, Daddy needed help blowing them out too...not sure what he would have done without the kids!

Sunday was Wes' birthday! Nealy was so excited, she was probably more excited than her daddy! The kids both made him pictures, and helped with his cake. They were so cute! Nealy was so good about giving Daddy a chocolate frosted cake. We all know Nealy's dislike of all things chocolate, and her LOVE for all things cake related. It was a good lesson for her, and a few cupcakes of the vanilla kind were made so she could join in on the festivities! Everyone happy!

The "Luck" of the Irish???

Lala painted Nealy's face for St. Patty's day. We didn't get to do much with Aidan in the ER most of the day!

The kids created pictures of spring on the first day of spring this year! They both love to color!

Nealy couldn't quite make it through the afternoon...falling asleep while watching Clifford, even this 20 min nap made her stay awake until close to midnight...

I let Nealy pick out a box of cereal for a treat. (much to Wes' dismay) Both kids LOVED them a bit too much!

Their favorite spot to watch the neighborhood. I think we've read The Cat in the Hat too much!

It's been a long and interesting week. Starting with St. Patty's day morning, when Aidan jumped off the chair into his ball pit and hurt his ankle. He and I ended up in the ER for x-rays as he wouldn't walk on it. They came back negative. Wed. we went to his pedi because he STILL wouldn't walk on it, he ordered MORE x-rays...which also came back negative. We were told to wait until Monday (yesterday), and come back if he wasn't using it then. Thankfully he started limping on it over the weekend. The poor kid still limps, but at least he is getting around a bit better. Both kids' allergies have started acting up, making them miserable while we wait for their med's to start working. Oh, and we found out the hard way that Aidan has an allergy to peanuts. Yup. No more peanut cookies for him! Poor kid got benedryl and a soda bath last night! Fun stuff going on over here! We are hoping that our "luck" changes soon!

Oh, yesterday...we loved you! It was beautiful out, sunny, warm (relatively speaking), and so perfect for some much needed outdoor play. The kids and I were outside for hours, playing with chalk, riding bikes, raking, playing in the back yard, walking up and down the sidewalk talking to neighbors. It was great. After dinner Wes joined us playing outside again. Both babies were very worn out by the end of the evening! And both woke up this morning with their allergies in full bloom. Great. What can you do???

Easter Crafts

Nealy and I sat down to do some Easter crafts the other day. She loves things she can do All. By. Herself. I bought a bunch of foam egg shaped pieces, along with foam stickers to decorate them with. Hopefully, we can string them and hang them up for all to see! She was VERY proud of herself. Even Aidan loves craft time now, and joins in. His favorite phrases these days seem to be "Bubba do" and "my ____". So, I let him do it by himself, even when he insisted on taking the stickers on and off...and ripping them.... Boys will be boys!

Over the last couple of days the weather has warmed up quite a bit. We have been able to go outside and play with toys we haven't seen in quite a while! Both kids enjoyed playing with their bikes, and we hope for more great outdoor days to come!

Hair!

When Nealy is in the bathroom by herself, and it gets quiet, something is usually wrong. I heard a "Umm, I may need a little help in here", and knew that someone was up to no good! Here Nealy decided to use Wes' brush to do her hair. I don't think she will be doing that again any time soon!

Disney on Ice!

Yesterday we decided the kids needed to get out and do something a little fun. We found out that Disney on Ice was close by and still had a number of tickets remaining! What fun. BOTH kids were in awe. They sat and watched so closely as the characters they knew (and many that they didn't) came across the ice. It was really neat. Aidan clapped and pointed, Nealy exclaimed, "That's MAGIC"! She was thrilled with the princesses and their princes!

Puppies

Nealy is sleeping with big dog as her pillow...Aidan sleeps ON Snoopy, see Snoopy's feet?

The kids love their puppies. The other night as I went in to check on them, I noticed that they were both sleeping on their puppies. Nealy using hers as a pillow, and Aidan, well, was just sleeping on him!
