A Family Pic

Wes and I can't even get near each other without the kids wanting in on the "love".

Time for Tea

We had a nice visit over the weekend from Pap Pap and Grandma Dee. On Saturday Nealy went to "tea" downtown with Grammie and Grandma Dee. She loved the attention and felt very grown up!

Nealy's First Dentist Visit!

Nealy had her first visit to the dentist this afternoon. We talked about it for the last couple weeks, and she was so excited to go! She was SO GOOD, answered all their questions, did everything they asked her to do, she was a bit nervous, but did great! In the end, she got a great report, no cavities, great bite, and they were thrilled that she flosses already! She was thrilled that she got a goody bag with stickers, flossers, a new toothbrush and toothpaste! They take their picture on their first visit, I didn't have my camera, (I really, REALLY need my camera fixed!) so their picture will have to do!

Stick'em Up!

I found an old vest of my brother's while going through some dress up stuff. It fits Aidan perfectly, and he seems to really get into it! Don't mess with the Aidan authority, and he has the car to match!

Aidan Cooks

Aidan loves the kitchen, especially when Daddy is in there cooking! He knows where all the pots and pans are, and can often be found getting out pasta or a potato or two. On this particular day, he whined until he was given a wooden spoon to stir with. If he was just a bit taller, I may never have to cook again!

Parent Watch Week

Nealy had parent watch week for Ballet today. She has been very excited all week that
we could come and stay with her. It was fun, she was hilarious! Enjoy a couple quick movies of Buggy in action!

Leaves

They really do love to spend time together, and for the most part, do really well!
The half smirk of Aidan
Relaxing in the leaves
Aidan "beeping" Mary's nose...too cute for words! (He also does this inside to St. Anthony!)
Playing outside

Grammie and Nealy playing tag

It's been absolutely gorgeous this week. We have tried to take advantage of the weather by playing outside all day. Today the kids and I took a long (couple hours!) walk downtown and had a lunch picnic by the water. It was so peaceful, beautiful, fun... I took lots of pictures, if only I knew how to transfer pictures from my cell phone to the computer! After attempting naps, and Nealy getting an outing with Lala, we played outside until it got dark. The leaves will all be gone soon, but fun was had by all!

Potawatomi Park

On Saturday afternoon, Wes and I took the kids to Potawatomi Park. We hadn't been there yet, and I hadn't been in years. They had a nice tot lot and a small trail along the water. It was a perfect place to spend an hour or so on a fall evening.

Trick or Treating!

Pretty Princess Cinderella. Crown and all!

Poor Aidan, he was not quite awake yet.
Heading downtown via wagon!

A street pic... There was quite the crowd!

And his little bear
While downtown we ran into a neighbor, one of Nealy's good friends, Anna.

Trick or treating from Grammie and Lala
Aidan not knowing where to go next
Dancing on the sidewalk, or walking like a bear, you choose!
Stopping for a rest at Anna's house. These two are fun together.
Finished trick or treating, they took one last picture with their pumpkin jack-o-lantern

We had a busy Halloween this year! We started by going downtown to trick or treat at all the stores. They actually close down a couple blocks, and have music playing. We loaded up the wagon and started on our way. After about hitting 1/4 of the stores, and getting more candy than we needed, we headed home to take a break for dinner before heading out for the neighborhood trick or treating. I was so impressed with how they both handled it! Nealy was very good about using her manners, even when she was given chocolate (although she did start to tell people she doesn't like it!), Aidan loved looking in his bucket, and admiring all the goodies he received. All in all they had a great time, and got enough candy to last until next Halloween.
