Big girl pants

Yes, it has started. Nealy has decided that she is a big girl and proudly has been sporting some new Elmo underwear. I guess it's time I took her lead and start seriously potty training. She wore her new elmo's for over 3 hours without an accident. She is so very excited! This milestone is one we have been waiting for, and dreading for the last few months!

tummy time

This morning we were having some tummy time with Aidan. Nealy loves when Aidan is on the floor, and usually goes right to him to encourage him to "pick your head up little buddy!" or "you can do it little man".
I weighed the kids this morning...Nealy is still holding steady at 28lbs, and my boy is hovering around the 12lb mark. He's a big boy! No one can say I haven't fed him!

A play date

Yesterday we had my sister and niece come spend the day with us. The girls were so darn cute together, and despite neither one of them getting a nap, they were so good. So many giggles, hugs, and lots of potty time were spent together. Towards the end of the evening, they had a little PJ party. They even let Aidan be a part of the fun. CK, Wes, and I were so proud of them! Nealy can't wait for her cousin Caroline to come back and play again!

Success!

knock on wood...
Aidan slept on his own from 11-3:30am last night! Then went back after eating and slept until 6:30!!! Wes and I are so proud of him! (This is a HUGE improvement, he used to be up every hour and a half!) Hopefully he will continue to sleep, everyone is so much happier when he does! I'm hoping that he just needed some time to adjust, and that I'll soon be able to eat ice cream again...the things you give up for your kids (or sleep!)

Starting somewhere!

Wes and I decided it was time to get our feet wet and dive into the world of the blogger. What can we say, our kids are so darn cute we want to show them off.
Aidan is now three weeks old today, and I think I may have gotten five hours of sleep since he's been home. There is nothing wrong with the boys lungs, and he is, for the time being, very much a momma's boy. Wes fully intends to change that soon.
Nealy has been amazing. She has loved her new role as "big sister". Whenever anything is needed for Aidan she is right there to help. She loves to hold, kiss, scold, and cheer on baby Aidan. It's hard to believe Nealy is almost two years old. She will readily tell you that she is not a baby any more, she is a TODDLER! And boy is she ever.
