A Ride and a New Apron

Nealy LOVES her new apron, especially since she saw a picture with her cousin Caroline wearing a matching one! Our girls love to be matchy-matchy!

Aidan has taken to three blankets and a number of different stuffed friends. Lately he has been taking them for "walks" in the little wagon. He gets quite upset if anyone touches them, including the cat!

Catching Some Rays!

I need to explain...I told the kids to get their hats, meaning sun/baseball hats, and they come back with these. They actually wore them outside for a bit too, thankfully that was in the morning before the temps got too high!

Aidan was very excited about his shoes! I realized that the kids had a huge growth spurt since last summer, and need some bigger clothes! What fun!

"Do you mind, I'm reading"

Catching up on the latest celebrity gossip.

"Helping" Grammie with her gardens
The sun is finally starting to shine, temps are starting to rise, and the babies are finally able to get some sun! We had a day or two where the temps were actually close to 80, although most days are in the mid 60's right now. We enjoyed those few days, and the few in the 70's too! Nealy can't wait until the beach is "ready", she remembers all the days spent there last summer, and it's high on her list of fun things. I'm sure Aidan will love it this year too!

A Baseball Game

The kids and I went to watch Wes' freshman team play their first game. The crowd got a kick out of Nealy yelling as loudly as possible "DADDY!" when she saw him on the field. Aidan, with his hat on, yelling through the fence at the players, would turn and talk to the parents after a play. They both were quite the hit! And they made sure to get all nice and dusty from the rocks too, making it clear we were not going to be skipping the tub that night!

Easter Part 3...All Dressed Up!

We can't get a good family pic to save my life! Aidan wanted to stare at the water, and was not too pleased to be facing the opposite direction. OH well, there is always next year.

Easter Part 2...The Egg Hunt

We headed outside to find eggs in the backyard. Nealy knew exactly what to do, but ran past the first dozen eggs or so, she was too excited. Aidan caught on very quickly, and did very well hunting his eggs!

Happy Easter

Easter morning... (I forgot to add the pic's backwards, so they would show up in the proper order...) Both kids were thrilled with their baskets full of books and little toys, along with the usual candy of course! The both had a letter from the Easter Bunny telling them to go to the next room for a special surprise....A big girl bike for Bug, and a bubble-blowing lawn mower for the boy!

More Outside Play

Aidan was being Nealy's bodyguard!

Nealy tried out her new roller skates the other day. She was a bit unsure at first, but got the hang of it after a few tries!

Coloring Eggs

Notice the yucky drool??? and the brown all over his lips??? Yes, the boy LOVES chocolate!

Nealy posing for the camera, while Aidan sneaks a chocolate egg.

Saturday after nap we colored our Easter Eggs. Both babies loved to help and decide what color their eggs would be. Aidan later turned his attention to the eggs found at the hunt earlier that day.

Easter Egg Hunt

Aidan was telling his Daddy that the Easter Bunny was right over there, you can't see in this picture, but he is actually waving at him!
On Saturday we ventured off to the community Easter Egg Hunt. What a zoo it turned out to be! They divided the kids into age groups, and thankfully, we fit into the first two groups. Aidan was mesmerized by the big Easter Bunny, and the big Eagle, and needed to be reminded to pick up some eggs. Nealy was all about the eggs, however her age group (3&4) was insane. They let parents "help" and basically it was over within 15 sec. Which is why I only have an after shot of her.

Our Mini Vacation

The long wait...so much for getting a room on time, we waited in the lobby for two hours!

Aidan was so excited to see that the animals like to read too.
"Hey little fella, what are ya reading today?"
"Can I read it too??"

They were playing in the kid pool, Aidan turned to look at a big bucket dumping water on people

Nealy going down the little kid slide, she also went down the big slides all by herself!

Aidan took his time getting used to the pool, of course AFTER I put the camera away he went crazy...always miss the good pictures

Daddy and Nealy right before 200 gallons of water got dumped on them!

The arcade rides...

The story tree chair

With Daddy in the story book chair. They had story time every night for the kids here, which both babies loved!

Thrilled right??? He wasn't thrilled that his sister was still touching him...

sitting in the "bear chair"

Aidan dancing on his "stage" to American Idols

Sitting on the ledge in our hotel room...just to scare mommy!

Aidan LOVES these big creatures...who would have thought???
Spring Break didn't start off all that springy. We packed the kids up and drove up north to Traverse City for a couple nights. It was good to get away, and the kids loved the "kid hotel". We visited Great Wolf Lodge, which has an indoor water park, craft room, and many fun little activities throughout the entire hotel. They loved it. Wes and I loved watching them, and it wore us out! Next year we need to go somewhere warm!
