What A Hike!

Daddy and the kids in front of an overlook. The beach is actually in the background!
The overlook
Yummmy! SAND!
"I've missed you!"
Nealy desperately wanted to go swimming in the lake, and was a bit disappointed that we wouldn't let her. I tried to explain that the water would be cold, we didn't have our suits or towels with us, but she insisted that she could go naked...sorry baby girl, it's not THAT type of beach!
My babies and me!

Sometimes their cuteness hurts!

A rare family shot!

It's been absolutely beautiful here. The weather has been actually quite warm, and we are enjoying our Indian Summer. We enjoyed a nice hike at Rosy Mound after our debacle with the pumpkin patch. Wes and I were so impressed with Nealy's ability to walk the entire way (2 miles), even though she refused a nap, it was very warm out, and let's not even start with how many stairs we had to climb! Yeah Bug! (and thanks Lala for lending us your camera!)

A Hayride...

Here Aidan is running after his dad and sister, so wish you could hear the giggles!
standing on the kid maze. Yes, that is a bus in the background, it is actually part of the playground. Very scary!
Chasing Daddy!
So rude, Aidan is constantly sticking his tongue out!
Daddy and his kids on the hayride, we had the whole ride to ourselves!
Playing on the playground

We were so excited to go to the pumpkin patch today. And we were sorely disappointed with our choice of patches. We did go on a hayride, and the kids got to play outside for a bit, but we walked away pumpkinless. We will be trying a different pumpkin patch next weekend. Wish us luck!

A Sleep-Over

Nealy NEVER goes to bed alone. To be honest, she must have over a dozen "friends" in bed with her every night. Lately she has been into her baby dolls, and can be found nursing them, changing their diapers, rocking them to sleep, taking them for walks, and of course, she has to tuck them in at night. What a good Momma she is going to be!

Nealy Turns Three!

The computer...good thing she opened this one close to last...I think we would still be sitting here waiting for her to finish! Now Nealy can work on her computer too!
Play dough and a floor puzzle = hours of entertainment
Can I open more now????
New books are always a hit in this family!
A new homemade dress from Great Grandma!
A little blurry yes, but she was so excited over her new Sparkly Blue Blanket!
It's so soft!
I love my games!

Nealy had a great birthday. She came into our bedroom at 7:15am and very sweetly woke us up to inform us that "it's my birthday...I'm THREE!" The excitement was too much to handle. She then went to ballet class, where she again announced that today was her day. We came home and had lunch, she counted her presents...ate her birthday castle cake, and then finally got to dive into her pile of presents. Dear Lord it took forever! She was so thrilled with everything, and announced numerous times how happy she was. Many thanks to everyone who called and/or sent Nealy birthday greetings. She is one very proud three year old!

***my camera broke in the middle of presents...so look for new pictures (hopefully not blurry anymore) soon. ****

The Castle Cake...

She insisted on having a castle cake. Wow. I insisted on making it myself. Double wow. Anyway, she was thrilled with the finished project, and I was thrilled that I finished the project! I wasn't completely happy with the way it turned out, I would have done things a bit differently given the opportunity, but nonetheless, I was happy she was happy.
